STEP 17: On the front, top stitch the binding to one end of the panel close to the inner edge. Then with the zip closed, align the panel near the zip pull and stitch to the zip close to the other edge |
STEP 18: Mark the level of the top of the panel on other side of the zip |

STEP 19: On the front, top stitch the binding at the other end of the panel close to the inner edge. Then with the zip fully open, align the panel on the mark made on the zip and then stitch to the zip close to the other edge |
STEP 20: Turn the purse inside out and close the zip fully. Flatten the purse with the zip centred. |

STEP 21: Stitch to purse closed at the bottom, reinforcing over the zip a couple of times. Trim the end of the zip in line with the purse and zigzag stitch over the raw edge |
STEP 22: Open the zip as far as you can. Fold the short piece of binding in half and pin, right sides together, on the panel opposite the zip |
