STEP 11: When you have finished adding the strips, trim the finished panel to 7 x 5 inches |
STEP 12: To make the binding, press the 1 1/2 inch wide binding strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, then press each half in half again likewise |

STEP 13: Cut the binding strip into two 5 inch pieces and one 2 inch piece |
STEP 14: Top stitch down each each of the 2 inch piece of binding |

STEP 15: Unfold and pin the first of the 5 inch pieces of binding to one of the short ends of the back of the panel. Stitch with a 1/4 inch seam. |
STEP 16: Stitch the second piece of binding to the other short end of the panel and fold the binding to the front of the panel |
