This tutorial is sized to make a little purse approximately 4½ inches tall by 3½ inches wide, but these can be made in almost any size or proportions. Make one to fit your phone, or as a pencil case! I like to work with 100% cotton since it is easy to handle, forgiving and takes a crease well, but since you do not need to iron the main panel, you could use any fabric you like. Get your scrap box out and have a play.
Backing fabric: 1 piece; 7½ x 5½ inches |

STEP 1: Gather your notions and cut your fabrics as shown above |
STEP 2: Lay out your strips in a pleasing arrangement |

STEP 3: Place the backing fabric face down on your work surface with the wadding on top |
STEP 4: Place the strip from the middle of your arrangement, right side up, at an angle across the wadding |
